Our neighbour 'doggy-sat' our dog while we were away. I made a simple cake to thank them.
It's tiresome trying to replicate real life characters. I made fondant dogs to replicate those real life dogs. Unfortunately, both dogs look so plain. Theirs is a larger brown dog and ours is a small black dog. Yes, both are completely toneless, just one colour per dog! Sigh!

Children's Favourite Characters
This is going to be a longer post than usual as I'm posting about my son's birthday cake.
This Cookie Monster Sesame Street Book is one of his favourite books. It reads as follows:
That's his favourite part of the book. So ........that's what he got as his birthday cake.
Choo Choo!
Yes, I know it's corny to describe a train as 'choo choo' but this post is after all about a cake for a 1 year old boy. And most people teach kids that trains are choo choo trains. Do trains still make the choo choo sound now that it's running on electricity (LRT/Komuter) or diesel (KTM Berhad)?
Anyway, a client recently ordered this cake for her son's one year old birthday party.

Fondant Gymnast
My sister recently ordered 60 cupcakes for my niece's birthday. Since my niece is into gymrama, I made a fondant gymnast doing a perfect split on the cupcake. And, yes, of course my sister got a huge discount. : )
There are just 24 gymnast here. I delivered the rest the day before and didn't manage to take a photo.
P.S. Sorry the photo is so bad, this photo was taken at night using flash.
